Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of headlining the Disco Stage at Legal Geek in London, representing Thomson Reuters and its AI-powered legal product, CoCounsel.

This was never going to be a conventional conference presentation. Working closely with the team, we designed a bespoke performance combining TECH Magic, robotics and AI, built around one clear objective: making the CoCounsel name impossible to forget.

Turning a product message into a shared experience

Conference audiences see a lot of presentations, so the challenge is not simply to explain a product. It is to create a moment that people want to talk about afterwards.

For the finale, 500 people in the audience took part using the one piece of technology already in their hands: their mobile phones. The entire room worked together to decode a prediction live on stage. The final reveal was CoCounsel, appearing across every phone in the audience.

It was a spectacular moment, but it also served the message. The product name was not added as an afterthought; it was at the centre of the experience.

TECH Magic, AI and a humanoid robot

D4RYL™, my humanoid robot, also played a key role in the presentation. His appearance brought the themes of artificial intelligence and emerging technology to life in a way that felt entertaining, visual and completely different from a standard corporate presentation.

The combination of live performance, audience participation and robotics gave Thomson Reuters a conference activation that genuinely reflected the innovative nature of CoCounsel.

Continuing the experience in the CoCounsel Lounge

After the stage presentation, the experience continued in the CoCounsel Lounge.

D4RYL™ met guests, posed for selfies and quickly attracted a crowd, while I performed close-up TECH Magic for VIP visitors. This created a relaxed way for people to spend more time with the brand, start conversations and keep the CoCounsel experience going well beyond the main stage.

Why bespoke TECH Magic works at conferences

The best conference entertainment does more than fill time between speakers. It supports the purpose of the event.

A bespoke TECH Magic presentation can be designed around a product launch, campaign, conference theme or key message. Because the audience participates using their own mobile phones, the experience feels personal even in a room of hundreds of people.

For event organisers, it offers:

  • A memorable way to introduce or reinforce a product name

  • Genuine participation from a large conference audience

  • Strong visual moments for social media and event coverage

  • Entertainment that reflects themes such as innovation, technology and AI

  • A flexible experience that can continue with close-up performances and D4RYL™ after the main stage show

Planning a conference or product launch in London?

If you are planning a conference, product launch or corporate event and want your audience to remember more than another set of slides, I can work with your team to create a performance around your message.

From large-scale TECH Magic on stage to close-up mobile phone magic and appearances by D4RYL™, each element can be tailored to your audience, venue and objectives.

A huge thank you to Thomson Reuters for trusting us to bring something completely different to Legal Geek, and to the brilliant audience who made the finale such a fantastic moment.
